On 3, 4, 5 November 2010 The Wall Street Journal Europe Future Leadership Institute will organize the first ever Wall Street Journal Europe Future Leadership Summit or BREE/SCHILDE SUMMIT (after the two towns in Belgium hosting the Summit).
Core of the BREE/SCHILDE SUMMIT is the inauguration and first procedures of the Wall Street Journal International Student Senate. The International Student Senate is a platform originally developed by Wall Street Journal manager Gert Van Mol when he was studying at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in the nineties. Mr. Van Mol, a long time Wall Street Journal employee, has meanwhile refined the concept.
The International Student Senate is bringing together elected student leaders from top universities and business schools across Europe to research issues of interest to future leaders.
"Inquirere et Immutare" or "To Study and Reform" is the baseline of the WSJE International Student Senate.
